F1 2021 has today launched update 1.09 on PlayStation and Xbox platforms, so here’s the full list of changes and fixes with this patch. Similar to the Cyberpunk 2077 patch from earlier today, this patch isn’t in the traditional patch notes format you see posted from us most of the time here. Instead, the team has opted to use a quick forum post to mention the changes. There may not be a whole lot today, but having any update is always a good thing. Without further adieu, here’s all that’s new with F1 2021 update 1.09!
F1 2021 Update 1.09 Patch Notes
Here’s the forum post directly from the team:
Playstation users will note that they have had a patch released today. This is a small update to provide further backend improvements. This will also happen further in 1.09 to Xbox, Xbox Series, PS4 and PS5 coming soon, planned to be released around next week.
1.10 will be the next traditional patch, released across all platforms in the usual manner. We have some exciting new additions coming for 1.10 (ETA to be confirmed), and once I have further news, it will be added to the forums.”
As you can see, this patch works a little differently than the standard patches we see for the game. It should also be noted that the part starting with “This will also happen further in 1.09” is the patch that happened today, in case there was any confusion. This patch will also not be hitting PC platforms, as the team doesn’t need to make improvements over there. You should notice virtually nothing new for the game today, but the devs being able to work on the backend a little easier should make updates less complex to tackle. When 1.10 reaches all platforms, there will be some meaningful changes and new additions. Keep your eyes peeled here for notes on that.
F1 2021 and update 1.09 are available on PlayStation and Xbox platforms, with the game itself also available on PC. For more information regarding this update, here’s the official forum thread.
