In case you weren’t aware,ย Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockoutย is kind of a big deal. The battle royale /ย Takeshi’s Castle hybrid has gone down amazingly well with fans since its release earlier this month. In fact,ย Fall Guysย managed to sell 2 million copies in its first week on Steam. Add to that the countless downloads on PS Plus and you’ve got yourselves a pretty big player base.
If you’ve playedย Fall Guysย since launch, you’ll be aware that this has made for some unstable servers, lag and connection issues. Mostly though, the game is fun. Angry, frustrating, sweary fun.
As well as an active community,ย Fall Guysย also has a very active Twitter account. It was recently revealed that the search was on for the best player out there.

As you can see, it was avidย Fall Guysย streamer, DrLupo. The search was on after developer Mediatonic put out a tweet yesterday saying they had deposited a costume skin into the account of the best player, although they didn’t know who that was.
The skin is part of a selection ofย Portalย skins that will be released at the weekend for us mere mortals. They can be yours soon, in exchange for money of course.
It hasn’t taken fans long to accuseย Fall Guysย of favoring a player who generates a lot of publicity for them, as statistically, there are players with more wins than DrLupo. Even if that is the case, I don’t really care, as the game is great and, right now, I have a lot of goodwill towards it.
