Ladies and gentlemen, the day is finally upon us. We’ve been waiting many months following the game’s announcement, watching as those little jelly beans run along. Hell, maybe you’ve even been like me and had a chance to try the beta. If you’ve touched Twitch.tv today though, you know exactly what I’m talking about. Fall Guys, the battle royale like no other from Devolver Digital and Mediatonic, is now available. You can purchase the game on Steam, or download it through PlayStation’s PS Plus completely free. You can watch the adorably hilarious launch trailer below.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout pits 60 players against each other to see who comes out on top. Instead of your usual run and gun though, you’re a little jelly bean fighting to qualify in different game shows. You may have to avoid slime while making your way up an obstacle course, or you could have to be the team with the most tails. All the game modes are wacky and enjoyable, making for what is likely a lot of fun. Will you be the one to claim the coveted crown, or will your little pineapple dressed Fall Guy drop down? Time will only tell.

I thankfully had the chance to try the beta over the past couple of weekend tests and I must say, this game is quite a lot of fun. Watching all the little fall guys try to dive through a small door is hilarious every time, and being able to hit those jumps just right is oh, so satisfying. If you happen to have PS Plus or enough to purchase the game, this may just be the battle royale you’ve been looking for. After hundreds of similar shooters, I’m not opposed to something refreshing.

I’d love to hear your thoughts though. If you played during one of the beta weekends, what did you think of Fall Guys? Does it look fun to you from the trailer? Let us know, and stay tuned at The Nerd Stash for all your news, reviews, and more!
