Fall Guys, the latest popular battle royale title with an adorably cartoon-like art-style, is receiving a major patch. The patch will add a new level and fix some major issues. The level, Jump Showdown, is a fan-favorite from the Beta. It has the players standing on one circular platform, pieces of which will fall away into slime. To not get knocked off, players must avoid each other and two rotating bars. You can check out a teaser for the level as well as the patch notes below.

What’s New For Fall Guys?

The Fall Guys Twitter account put out the news yesterday, so the patch will go live today. The full patch notes, which the account also fully detailed, are as follows:

  • Lowered the weighting for Royal Fumble to add more final round variation
  • Fixed crash at launch with certain regional calendars set in the operating system
  • Improved messaging for matchmaking and server errors
  • Fixed physics behaving erratically at high frame rate on levels like Tip Toe
  • Fixed crown in Fall Mountain not being grabbable in rare situations
  • Addressed some collisions in Block Party allowing players to bypass the blocks
  • Fixed parties sometimes failing due to too many requests
  • Addressed some special characters causing display issues in player names
  • Fixed Big Tease Achievement not unlocking in specific regions
  • PC Only – Fixed certain game controller models not being detected on PC
Jump Showdown in Fall Guys
New Level Jump Showdown Coming to Fall Guys

Fall Guys launched on August 4th for PC via Steam and PlayStation 4. Each match begins with 60 players and lasts for several rounds. Players compete in mini-games and obstacle courses to be the last one standing. The game’s launch was hugely successful, in part thanks to it being free for PlayStation Plus subscribers. However, its popularity has put a strain on the game’s servers, leading to matchmaking errors. Hopefully, this patch will dispel those problems. Although developer Mediatonic is focusing on smoothing everything out for PC and PS4, it has said it would love to release Fall Guys on more platforms in the future.
