A game changer when the odds are against you, the right Power Armor can turn you into an unstoppable force in Fallout 4 and is a must-use when going into regions swarming with danger. But given how the Fusion Cores that power the armor will be a rare sight at the beginning of your journey, knowing when to get out and put your own foot on the ground can be just as vital as knowing when to suit up. Here’s how to exit your Power Armor on Fallout 4, no matter your platform of choice.

You can easily exit your Power Armor in Fallout 4 by pressing and then holding the Activate key/button. To recap, here’s how to exit the Power Armor on each of the game’s available platforms:

  • PS4 and PS4: You can exit your Power Armor by pressing and then holding X.
  • Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X: You can exit your armor by pressing and then holding A.
  • PC: Press and hold E (Can be remapped).

You can exit your armor at any time in Fallout 4. But keep in mind that although you can heal yourself by using Stimpaks and the like when wearing it, you cannot help allies up from within. I don’t recommend leaving your armor when in combat unless, of course, you find yourself out of power. That goes double if you are facing large enemies such as Deathclaws or are under heavy fire, as you will be susceptible to damage during the exit and entry animations.

Now that you know how to exit your Power Armor without an issue, consider checking out what the 5 best weapons in Fallout 4 are.

You can play Fallout 4 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
