Taylor Swift has let some of her fans down after they busted the Shake It Off hitmaker in a huge lie involving her NFL star boyfriend, Travis Kelce. Swifties are feeling a little let down but mostly disappointed that Taylor went to such extremes.
While some of Taylor’s fans are upset, most of them have been trolling the pop singer jokingly to ensure she knows she has been caught up in a lie, according to Page Six. So, what was so important to Taylor and Travis that she felt the need to deceive her fans?
Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is on the final countdown to the end. With just a few shows left for her to perform in Canada, she will soon get that long and much-needed break. But that being said, Tay told her fans a bald-faced lie over the weekend.
Post Malone and Taylor Swift won the award for best video for their “Fortnight” collaboration Sunday. So the network played a pre-recorded acceptance speech in which Taylor thanked her fans, and Malone added, “I am coming to you from the Eras Tour, and I’m so sad that I can’t be with you tonight.“
However, all die-hard Travis Kelce football fans and Taylor Swift fans know for a fact that that was a complete lie. Taylor was not on the road Sunday night with the Eras Tour. Instead, she showed up in full Swift fashion to take in her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s football game against the Denver Broncos.
Taylor Swift Can’t Hide From Fans During Travis Kelce NFL Season
The Taylor Swift pre-recorded video aired footage aired at night in the UK, where the ceremony was held. But it was still the afternoon in Kansas City, Mo. Which was where Swift was watching Kelce’s team defeat the Denver Broncos 16-14 in an exciting match.
Needless to say, the fans called the pop star out on her lie, blasting her and Travis Kelce on X.
It doesn’t appear that Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are letting the lie stop them from enjoying their time together. According to PG6 sources, following the Chiefs game, Travis and Taylor took off to enjoy some needed alone time before Swift returned to Canada to finish the tour.
“They don’t always get a lot of alone time together. So when they do, they make sure and make the most of it when they can,” the insider says. The two lovebirds will spend the next couple of days together before, once again, they are forced to say a heartbreaking goodbye.
It is no secret that Travis and Taylor can’t stand being apart. However, it won’t be long before Taylor can spend all her days and nights with Travis. Until then, it looks like they will have to continue spending their time on the phone. But let this be a lesson to Taylor and Travis about lying to their fans. It doesn’t pay to lie because Swifties always find out the truth.
