They couldn’t see her poker face

Imagine paying hundreds of dollars to see your favorite artist live in concert, only for your view to be completely obstructed by filming crews. That’s exactly what happened to thousands of Lady Gaga fans, as some of her shows in Inglewood, California, were recorded. Fans, of course, were not amused.

Refunds have been issued. Thank you Gaga ❤️💙💜🖤💛💚 @ladygaga @Ticketmaster @Live Nation Concerts @kia forum @Newsweek #ladygaga #ladygagafan #mayhemball #mayhem #losangeles #kiaforum

Numerous clips of the show were shared online by multiple Lady Gaga concert attendees at the Kia Forum. Among them is user rriicchh77 (Rich), who posted a clip of Gaga dancing to “Garden of Eden,” her 2025 single from her album Mayhem.

While she was perfectly observable in the giant screens above the stage, a filming crew completely blocked the views from fans standing right in front of her. Rich, completely disappointed, wrote, “Refunds have been issued. Thank you, Gaga.” In anotherclip, he asked her to repeat her California shows.

Another concertgoer, user 4idanfever, posted a compilation of clips recorded at the same Inglewood show. Repeatedly, at least one cameraman stationed himself between Gaga and the fans. Aidan said that paying $1,500 to see cameramen blocking his view was heartbreaking.

@4idanfever

love you soooo much gaga but $1500 to see cameramen for most songs is 💔💔💔 would’ve gotten tickets for nights 7-8 if i knew – @ladygaga #ladygaga #mayhemball #kiaforum

Similar to Aidan, user erickkiwi11 (Erick) also shared brief moments of the Lady Gaga show at the Kia Forum. Erick expressed his hatred for the cameraman, who ruined songs such as “Poker Face” and “Bad Romance.”

I HATE U CAMERAMAN, he was in the middle of the show, at least dance or sm😭 #ladygaga #mayhemball #kiaforum

Refunds Requested, Online Backlash

As reported by Newsweek, Gaga performed four times at the California venue from February 19 to February 23. Apparently, some of these shows featured the filming crews recording Gaga’s performance. And while many “Little Monsters” were excited by the prospect of a live recording of her tour, The Mayhem Ball, they would have appreciated a heads-up.

As a result of the less-than-stellar experience, fans are currently requesting refunds from Ticketmaster, and others have even contacted their banks about it. Some, like Rich, have already gotten their full refund. Users, meanwhile, didn’t hold back on their criticism.

“The nerve of doing this with how EXPENSIVE concert tickets are,” one user said. Another one commented, “With all the technology we have, there’s no reason these guys need to be this close.” A third one added, “Who thought this would be a good idea…“

Lady Gaga has yet to publicly address the controversy.
