Kid Cudi Supports Palestine, Calls for Ceasefire
Kid Cudi is tired of the bloodshed and genocide caused by the Israel-Palestine conflict and can’t stay quiet anymore. On Sunday, the 39-year-old took to Instagram to voice his concerns.
“The things I’ve been seeing in the news have been breaking my heart. I can’t watch what’s happening in the world and remain silent,” he began.
Kid Cudi continued by relaying that it didn’t feel right to release new music amid the chaos before acknowledging that he knew people would disagree with his position. The fashion designer also made sure to acknowledge the attack on Israel and the hostages currently being held in Gaza.
“I recognize that there’s more to the story than what’s happened over these past few weeks. And it goes without saying, I love my Jewish brothers and sisters and condemn any violence towards them,” he noted.
However, Kid Cudi stood with Palestine, condemning the killing of innocent people. The musician noted that Palestine deserved its freedom, adding that advocating for Palestine’s liberation was different from being antisemitic.
“This isn’t politics, these are real lives. And I’m just a dude who gives a f*** about humanity,” he said.
Kid Cudi concluded by expressing his support for Palestine’s demand for an immediate ceasefire and an end to the genocide. The Entergalactic star finished with the words, “Free Palestine!!”
