Far Cry 6 may be taking quite a while to hit our screens, but damn have I ever been excited. I’ve played every mainline Far Cry game after Far Cry 3 (including it too, don’t worry hardcore fans), and have fallen in love with everything the series has to offer. From its fast-paced gameplay, beautiful open worlds, and enjoyable stories, there’s a lot to love about the series. And with Far Cry 6 finally set to hit PC and consoles in October, there’s plenty to be excited about. At the 2021 version of Gamescom Opening Night Live though, the team had a brand new story trailer to share for Far Cry 6. You can find the said trailer below.
As the story trailer so aptly reveals, Far Cry 6’s main villain of Anton Castillo is a ruthless dictator, willing to do anything to ensure his vision for Yara. If that means some have to become slaves, or quality of life for his people goes downhill for a while, that’s a sacrifice he’s willing to make. And with his son, Diego, set to take the throne upon his death, the dictatorship sees no sign of stopping. As Dani Rojas, it’s up to you to take the fight back to the Castillo regime, stopping at nothing to liberate your people from the terrible conditions they face. You’ll need help though, and the resistance, known as the Liberated, are just the team of rag-tag citizens you’ll need.
Far Cry 6 is set to release on October 7, 2021 for PC, PlayStation 4,
