This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information.

Far Cry 6 is now available, letting true Yarans live out their fantasies and take on one of the world’s strongest dictators, Anton Castillo. With the help of the Libertad, you’ll work to control key locations on the map and halt the army’s efforts. In one such location controlled by the army, you find a container that is blocking an open container from being accessed. If you’re having issues with this puzzle, no need to worry. In this guide, I explain exactly how to complete the GDP Oil Platform container puzzle in Far Cry 6!

(Updated on August 1, 2024 – Fact-checked and clarified the guide’s information).

How to Complete the GDP Oil Platform Container Puzzle in Far Cry 6

Far Cry 6 Oil Platform Container Puzzle

First of all, you need to get to the GDP Oil Platform, obviously. This is located in the very northwest of the map, through the region of Madrugada. You may have to clear a significant portion of this location before you can properly take on the oil rig. You also visit it as part of the main campaign, having to get something for one of Philly’s experiments. Either way, once you’re here and have cleared out the oil platform, you’ll find the container marked above. Your first instinct may be to climb the ladder of the crane, but this, surprisingly, isn’t the answer at all.

Far Cry 6 Crane Control Room

Instead, you’ll want to head to the Southwest portion of the Oil Platform and enter the control room, pictured above with a grenade painted onto it. Once inside, press the button in the corner of the room, and you’ll see the crane outside lift up the container. Head over to the container, and you can finally access the open container. Inside, you’ll find plenty of resources alongside the mean Supercharger shotgun. It goes without saying, but this weapon is a fantastic addition to anyone’s arsenal. So, if you have the time, take the detour and head to this location.
