Fashion Police Squad, a retro first-person shooter with a rather stylish twist, is releasing on PC through both Steam and the Epic Games Store on August 15 for $19.99. Coming from developer Mopeful Games and esteemed publisher No More Robots, this shooter aims to step away from brutal kills and into a wardrobe makeover orchestrated by you! Curious as to what that means? Take a look at the latest trailer below!
Bring Fashion Back to the City, One Shirt at a Time
Fashion Police Squad follows a member of the aforementioned police squadron as you patrol Trendopolis and put a stop to any wardrobe malfunctions and other high-end crimes of the state. Whether it be a businessman who isn’t so interested in making their suit beautiful, a tourist whose socks and sandals don’t exactly inspire beauty, or other fashion-related crimes, you and your fashion cannon are sure to put a little pizazz into the bustling city. Best of all, you won’t be hurting a fly, as not a single death is expected out of your time with the game. That is, unless, some fashion-lacking ne’er-do-well gets into more trouble than expected.
While Fashion Police Squad comes from the completely fresh indie talent of Mopeful Games, behind them is the well-renowned indie publisher No More Robots. While that name may not be super familiar at first glance, they’re known for publishing some heavily popular indie titles such as Not Tonight and its sequel, Not Tonight 2, alongside Descenders, Hypnospace Outlaw, and the upcoming Spirittea. Needless to say, they know a good indie game when they see it, and Fashion Police Squad is merely the latest of the bunch. I can even say from the demo that despite the lack of visceral killing present in other retro shooters, Fashion Police Squad seems like a damn good time.
