Staying at home for the night can be a relief or a nightmare, depending on who you ask. Apparently, for a certain student in Atlanta, Georgia, not going out is nothing short of torture, and she tried to convince her roommates to leave the house, to no avail.
The clip of the hilarious interaction was shared on TikTok by user sophiamzarate (Sophia). The video shows Sophia’s roommate in an attempt to convince her and their other roommate to go out for the night. She even tells them that they didn’t need to be “full glam” for the night plan she was attempting to sell.
Her pitch, however, was cut short as Sophia burst into laughter. Left aghast at how her petition was taken with humor, the Georgia student clapped back, “What?!” To which Sophia explained, “I’m just laughing ’cause you’re so serious right now.” Her roommate, without thinking twice, said, “I am.”
“Please, we are [expletive] grandmas. We are young! These are the days we will be looking back on,” the woman wrapped in a tiger-pattern blanket said.
Begging Goes Unanswered, Reactions
Sophia, unfazed, wouldn’t let herself be convinced by her roommate’s insistence. She said, “I just don’t want to be at the bar tonight.” Shocked, her roommate reacted, saying, “The [expletive].” She kept trying to convince her roommates, begging them to go out with her, adding, “Guys, please. We’re young, we’re lean.”
Her pleas were, unfortunately, unanswered, and Sophia and her roommates stayed home for the night. They did, however, go out the next day, so everyone was happy, despite the visible and funny meltdown.
While some users sided with the partying roommate, others were more keen on staying at home. Either way, the video gained hundreds of thousands of views and likes in a few days.
“I’m that friend bc why r we grandmas at 21?” one user commented. Another one said, “There is nothing worse than having the itch to party and not being able to.” A third one wrote, “The apt looks so cozy, why would u wanna leave?“
By the looks of it, Sophia and her Georgia roommates appear to be crafting memories that will last forever. As long as they keep negotiating when they go out and when they stay home, then they’re all set.
