In what can only be termed as disgraceful, two female Secret Service agents were engaged in a brawl outside former President Barack Obama‘s home in Washington, DC.
The incident occurred on May 21 around 2:30 am, with CCTV footage showing the female agents going at it near a police vehicle. As seen in the clip, a third officer seemed to be trying to settle the dispute, but the colleagues wouldn’t let go, shoving each other until one successfully pushed the other away.
An audio recording provided by RCPolitics added context to the unprofessional unfolding, as one officer could be heard calling for a supervisor in a dispatch call. “Can I get a supervisor down to Delta two immediately before I whoop this girl’s a**?” one female agent said in the recording.
It turns out the woman who made the call was upset because her shift replacement arrived late and “assailed her verbally and physically.” The details of the alleged assault remain unknown. However, the Secret Service, in a statement to the Daily Mail, broke its silence on the incident.
“The individuals involved were suspended from duty and this matter is the subject of an internal investigation. The Secret Service has a very strict code of conduct for all employees and any behavior that violates that code is unacceptable. Given this is a personnel matter, we are not in a position to comment further.”
The unprofessional display has since sparked Internet-wide discussions. With the Trump administration’s reversal of DEI mandates at the federal level sparking outrage, Republicans believe the video is proof that his decision was right after all.
“I bet they are DEI hires,” one comment read, while another MAGA user slammed, “More DEI bullsh*t… now we get DEI catfighting SS agents. Absolutely ridiculous. Shameful behavior.”
Others, however, argued that Trump’s harsh anti-DEI executive order is responsible for the outburst because it puts pressure on minority groups, especially those in the military and police.
“This is wild! Secret Service beefin’ like it’s the hood. DEI drama’s got ’em actin’ up. Smh, they need to get it together before somethin’ serious goes down,” this user advised.
The Secret Service has been under the watchful gaze of the world since the unsuccessful assassination attempt on Donald Trump during a July 2024 Pennsylvania rally. The incident led to the resignation of former Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle and a complete overhaul of the enforcement agency.
As of this writing, it is unconfirmed if any of the agents sustained injuries. It is also unknown if the Obamas were at home during the altercation. The former first couple has yet to release a statement on the incident.
