Giving Exciting Tonic to Nesvaaz in FFXIV Final Fantasy XIV
This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

One of the curious new items added in Patch 6.3 of FFXIV is the Exciting Tonic, which is described as “an exciting pink liquid that collectors will even barter goods for just another bottle.” Outside of being unique in appearance compared to other reagents and potions, the Exciting Tonic’s main purpose is to purchase one of the new Mounts added in the latest patch, Pinky the pink elephant. Elephant lovers or those who adore circus-style aesthetics will undoubtedly love the Pinky Mount in Final Fantasy XIV. Nevertheless, acquiring the Exciting Tonic required for the Mount’s procurement takes much work.

To learn how to get Exciting Tonic in FFXIV, Warriors of Light must try their luck at discovering buried treasure using Timeworn Ophiotauroskin Maps, or they need to participate in the new The Shifting Gymnasion Agonon Dungeon, where Exciting Tonic is an ultra-rare drop.

While Timeworn Ophiotauroskin Map Treasure Hunts and The Shifting Gymnasion Agonon are engaging new activities for players to sink their teeth into, the loot dropped from treasure coffers is randomized. Therefore, players might need to grind several dungeon runs before they are able to get the Exciting Tonic they need for the Pinky Mount in FFXIV. For clarification, Warriors of Light must acquire vials of Exciting Tonic and deliver them to Nesvaaz, an Au Ra Merchant found in Radz-at-Han (X: 10.6, Y: 10.0). In exchange for the tonics, he will grant players the Pinky Identification Key, which, upon use, unlocks and binds the Pinky Mount to the player character.

Those who are consistently unlucky with their drops in The Shifting Gymnasion Agonon are encouraged to purchase Exciting Tonic from the player Market Board. Of course, the prices in Gil are bound to be extremely high, depending on the server. Nevertheless, endgame players who are relatively wealthy will probably see buying the Exciting Tonic from the market as a better option than dungeon grinding and treasure hunting. There are many ways to maximize one’s Gil income in the world of Final Fantasy XIV. While the path to becoming rich in FFXIV is never easy, it is not as RNG-dependent as grinding for rarities like Exciting Tonic.

Final Fantasy XIV is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
