Like every other year, FFXIV brings its Starlight Celebration for the holiday season. While certain content like raids and MSQ are locked behind expansions, this one is free for everyone who fulfills some easy requirements. The best thing about this event is that it comes with rewards that, while you can obtain later through the optional store, they are entirely free for the duration of the event. So, grab that holiday glamour and get ready to celebrate this season Eorzea-style.

Fortunately, the requirements to start the Starlight Celebration in FFXIV aren’t too intricate or difficult. All you must do is reach level 15 on any job, including crafting and gathering ones, and head to Old Gridania to speak with Amh Garanjy. You can find her at coordinates X: 10.2 and Y: 9.4. Once you talk to her, you’ll start the Reach for the Stalls quest. You’ll see a short cutscene and then will be taken to a new instanced area, the Starlight Stalls, where you’ll have to speak with Amh Garanjy again.

Your next objective will be to speak with three NPCs around the stalls. They are all marked on your map, so finding them should be easy. It turns out that the issue that’s happening around the stalls pertains to the weather, so you now need to solve the issue.

The option you pick won’t matter, so just choose whichever you think goes better with your character. You’ll get another cutscene where two new NPCs will join in to help. This will complete the first part of the Starlight Celebration in FFXIV.

The next part of the seasonal event starts with the Spreading the Warmth and Cheer quest. You can already see that this is the one that will give you the event’s rewards. Fortunately, this mission is quite short, and you only need to speak with a few NPCs in different places around Gridania to complete it. Just follow all the quest markers until you return to the Starlight Stalls. Back at the Stalls, speak to the NPCs, then the Chocobo, and have it accompany you to speak with another three NPCs. After that, enjoy the cutscene, and the quest will be finished.

Starlight Celebration Rewards

There are a few new rewards you can obtain after completing the event. First, the Starlight Stalls will be open for business; some even sell dyes, so take advantage of them while the event lasts. However, the important NPC with the seasonal content is the Starlight Supplier. One is inside the Stalls, and the other one is in Old Gridania. This NPC sells the following items:

  • Winter’s Warm Boughs Orchestrion Roll: 2,500 gil.
  • Festive Starlight Celebration Advertisement (Furniture): 2,000 gil.
  • Starlight Mug Tower (Furniture): 2,500 gil.
  • Starlight Kinderpunsch (Furniture/Consumable): 2,000 gil.

There are other two Magicked Prisms you can buy, but it is rare to see people spending their gil on them. If you want them, though, each one costs eight gil. In any case, the biggest reward is the Starlight Stalls Barding, which you have obtained after finishing the previous quest. So, interact with it to unlock a new barding for your Chocobo.
