Warner Bros. and DC Comics have released a new trailer for the upcoming Birds of Prey film. You can check out that trailer down below:
Much like the first trailer back in October, it seems that this film will primarily focus on Harley Quinn as opposed to the rest of the Birds of Prey roster. After all, the full title of the movie is called Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn. Some may be put off by that creative decision but considering that Harley Quinn was one of the most popular characters to come out of the DCEU so far, the decision to put her front and center could end up being the right call from WB/DC.
Along with watching more of Harley’s antics post-Joker and her new hyena named after Bruce Wayne, the trailer also gave us our best look yet at Ewan McGregor’s Roman Sionis/Black Mask. While we didn’t learn much about him in the trailer, we did finally get a glimpse at Sionis in his iconic mask.
The movie stars Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, Ewan McGregor as Black Mask, Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya, Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain, and Chris Messina as Victor Zsasz.
In other Birds of Prey news, Margot Robbie recently told Variety that Jared Leto’s Joker will not make an appearance in the upcoming film, even as a cameo.
Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn will hit theaters on February 7th, 2020.
