Final Fantasy 14 is one of the most popular MMORPG games these days. Thousands of people prefer spending time this summer playing FF 14, and we should say that’s a great choice in modern RPG. But you might face connectivity problems because Final Fantasy 14‘s North American servers are under attack. The gamers from that location have bad connections, and it’s possible to be unable to get connected to a server. Also, the problem is people are struggling to connect to the North American servers from somewhere else.

A forum post identifies the problem, and hackers use the attack methods to get the game servers and websites down. However, you’ll probably be unable to access the game’s online services for a few hours.

Final Fantasy 14 NA Game Servers Are Under DDoS Attacks

The official forum announcement says the servers have been attacked, and the players might face connectivity problems. The server teams are working on a solution, but it’s unclear when the servers will be available. Nobody has taken responsibility so far. The only thing we know at the moment is that there was a DDoS attack. Players were expecting stronger servers and connectivity solutions for the 14th game, but it looks like attacks are still stronger than the servers can handle.

Final Fantasy 14 Game Servers Are Affected by DDoS Attacks

We’ll briefly explain how the DDoS attacks work. The attack method is connecting to a game server, just like we do. But the hackers are developing their network and connecting to a server with thousands of servers. The servers aren’t powerful enough to respond to thousands of clients in a moment, which causes the down of the servers.

Also, hackers are using the victims’ computers. Gamers are downloading torrent games and being the hackers’ victims because those torrent games also install malware on your computer. That’s how the hackers are getting thousands of computers to attack the game servers.
