How To Beat Dread Comet in Final Fantasy 16
Dread Comet is an A-rank monster, which means it’s quite dangerous. What’s more, this Chocobo is level 38 and doesn’t have a will gauge, so you won’t be able to stagger it no matter how hard you hit.
Luckily, you can easily dodge or block almost all Dread Comet attacks. And at first glance, it may seem that this is a very easy Boss who does not correspond to its rank. However, you will change your mind once Dread Comet starts using Choco Meteorain.
This skill summons meteorites to fall from the sky. When they fall, they explode and create a shock wave. You will be able to dodge or block several. But the less health a red Chocobo has, the more meteorites it will summon. So you will need to focus only on evasion during this attack.
You can also try the risky trick. You can hover briefly in the air by jumping up and attacking the boss. These few seconds are enough to avoid damage from meteorites. But you have to be careful since one wrong step and you will die. However, the reward is worth all your efforts:
- 5300 Exp
- 90 Ability Points
- 39 Renown
- 13000 Gil
- Comet Feather
That’s all you need to know about how to find Dread Comet in Final Fantasy 16. This Boss can be quite dangerous due to lack of will gauge and annoying Choco Meteorain, so follow our tips to defeat it. And while you are here, take a look at our guide on how to get Gelatinous Mass.
