Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth release is fast approaching, and fans who have pre-purchased the game will be able to install it early. Like Final Fantasy 16, this new game will be massive, and you need ample storage to download it. Luckily, Square Enix will allow players who purchase the digital version to install the game before the release date. Without further ado, here are Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (FF7 Rebirth) preload and install times.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Preload Unlock Times

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is available for preloading on your PS5 starting from Feb 27 at midnight local time. This will give you 48 hours to download the game before the release date, Feb 29.

As usual, this only applies to fans who pre-purchase the digital version. This is certainly to make up for the fact that the game’s download size is 145.250 GB. Those who don’t have a fast internet connection will need several hours to finish downloading.

If you can’t wait to play the game, consider picking up the Demo, which consists of Nibelheim and Junon sections. Those who complete the Nibelheim part can skip the same section in the full game. Not only that, but you will also get these special rewards in the full version for completing the Demo:

  • Kupo charm – Increases the number of resource items extracted at a set rate.
  • Survival set – Contains consumable items, such as potions and ethers.

On the other hand, the Junon episode will arrive in an update on Feb 21. Besides adding a new zone, this update improves the visual quality when selecting “Performance Mode” from the graphics options.
