If you are new to the Final Fantasy MMO, you might want to know that every big patch is usually split into two parts. The developers keep some of the update’s features for a later date to let players experience them without feeling overwhelmed. This time Square Enix has announced the release date for patch 6.45 of FFXIV, which isn’t far away. The upcoming update will bring many new things to keep players hooked in case they already finished the recent raids and MSQ. The new patch will see the long-awaited Blue Mage update, a new relic weapon questline, and much more.

July 18 is the official release date for patch 6.45 of FFXIV. This day, players who own Endwalker and have an active subscription can experience the new update. This patch is bringing new things for every kind of player, and we’ve listed the most important ones here:

  • New Manderville Weapon Quest
  • New Splendorous Tools Quest
  • Second Variant/Criterion Dungeon
  • Blue Mage Update: Level Cap increased to 80
  • Somehow Further Hildibrand Adventures

As you can see, the update will be packed for everyone. Whether you want to upgrade your relic weapon or try the new Variant Dungeon, you can do all that in the next week.

While many are excited about the release date of FFXIV patch 6.45, many are eager to see what 6.5 will be about. The next Live Letter is coming on July 29, during the Fan Festival. Many are hoping for the first teaser of the next expansion, which usually happens during Fan Festivals. Yet, it is uncertain if Yoshi-P and his team plan to reveal anything this month or wait for the Fan Festival in Japan. Regardless, it is a fantastic time to join the MMO, given how much content will get in the coming weeks.
