We’re finally in Wave 4 for Fire Emblem Engage, and it indeed brings a new story scenario, characters, and class types. Called Fell Xenologue, this DLC is an alternate version of Elyos. It’s here that Alear teams up with a different group. Thanks to Fire Emblem Engage: Fell Xenologue, there are several recruitable characters we can bring with us. Let’s dive into these characters and where we may recognize some of them from previously.
All Recruitable Characters in Fire Emblem Engage: Fell Xenologue
As you’ve played through Fire Emblem Engage, you know the antagonistic Four Hounds. Now, in the Fell Xenologue DLC, Alear encounters alternate versions of them that are heroes and ready to jump to their side. They’re known in the DLC as the Four Winds.
Here are the versions of them with three that are now recruitable characters in Fire Emblem Engage: Fell Xenologue:
- Zephia –> Zelestia
- Griss –> Gregory
- Marni –> Madeline
Mauvier’s name is the same and, due to some situations that delve into spoiler territory, he is not one you can recruit at the game’s end.
Once you complete the Fell Xenologue DLC, a cutscene will play to indicate your new recruitable characters. Although not all of them are eagerly ready to depart with Alear, the three do agree to return with the Divine One to Somniel.
Those three are not your only new recruitable characters in Fire Emblem Engage: Fell Xenologue. You get the opportunity to add two more people to the team: The Twins.
These Twins are Nel and Rafal (Nil). Before, at the end of the game, Rafal does not agree to return with Alear as he awaits his sister. However, once you complete the DLC, recruit the Four Winds, and sit through the end credits, you are greeted with a second cutscene.
It is during this cutscene that The Twins arrive to meet Alear and agree to join the Divine One.
Throughout the Fell Xenologue DLC, you have the opportunity to play as all of those characters. Once they are recruited, you can take them into battle as you would anyone else on your crew in the base game.
Recruitable Characters – All Starting Classes
Once you have your recruitable characters from Fire Emblem Engage: Fell Xenologue, you can enjoy some known and new classes.
- Zelestia: Starting Class: Melusine
- Gregory: Starting Class: Sage
- Madeline: Starting Class: General
- Nil: Starting Class: Fell Child
- Nel: Starting Class: Fell Child
Melusine is a fun new class that players can experiment with during the DLC and for plenty of time after you recruit Zelestia.
Fire Emblem Engage is available on Nintendo Switch.
