Netflix has released the first episode of Sonic Prime season 2 for early viewing. The first episode, titled “Avoid the Void,” is currently available to view on YouTube in advance of the season’s release on Netflix later this month.
Sonic Prime season 2 is expected to release exclusively on Netflix on July 13, 2023. The new season will consist of eight episodes, just as the first season did, and pick up where the series last left off.
Sonic Prime Season 2 Episode 1 Avoid the Void Now Available On YouTube
The first episode of Sonic Prime season 2, entitled “Avoid the Void,” has officially been released for early viewing on YouTube by Netflix. The episode picks up right where season 1 last left off, with Shadow confronting Sonic in the void between dimensions to get revenge for the destruction of the world and the creation of the Shatterverse. The episode focuses on the conflict between the two characters.
This is not the first time an episode of Sonic Prime has released early by Netflix. The first episode of season 1 was also released early via a special viewing event in the Roblox Sonic Simulator on December 10, 2022, before the series’ Netflix debut on December 15, 2022.
The official Sonic Prime season 2 trailer was shown earlier this month during the June 2023 Sonic Central, giving fans a glimpse of what they can expect from the upcoming season. The trailer shows that the season will primarily focus on Sonic and Shadow working together to gather the shattered pieces of the Paradox Prism before it gets into the hands of the Egg Council.
The season will consist of eight episodes, just like the first season. There is currently no information on the third season’s release, but it will likely release sometime next year and also consist of eight episodes, for a total of 24.
Sonic Prime season 2 premieres exclusively on Netflix on July 13, 2023.
