As we reported on a few weeks ago, Scott Cawthon released the latest addition to his Five Nights at Freddy’s series on Steam. The JRPG styled Five Nights at Freddy’s World was pulled off of the Steam store less than a week later. Cawthon apologized to fans, stating that he rushed the game out the door and was not up to his standards. “I’m sorry.” Cawthon wrote on a Steam forum post. “I will continue to add features to the game and make it right.” Apparently, Cawthon feels he has made enough improvements to the game to rerelease it. Although it is still not available on Steam, fans can head over to Gamejolt to pick up Five Nights at Freddy’s World. Best of all, the game is now available for download completely free.
If you already purchased Five Nights at Freddy’s World on Steam, it can be returned for a full refund no matter how much time you have put into it. Cawthon’s edits have apparently been well-implemented, as the game currently has 2400 “Perfecto” ratings out of 2600 total ratings. “Perfecto” is the highest score a user can give on Gamejolt.
In Five Nights at Freddy’s World, players can build a party composed of characters for the Five Nights at Freddy’s universe in a JRPG-inspired world. The official description states that players can “Take control of Freddy and the gang as they set out on a quest in the world beneath worlds, a world that reflects the actions and deeds of the ‘flipside,’ where things have started becoming distorted and broken. Lead your team deeper into this digital world to find the source of these glitches and monsters, and restore it to what it was designed to be – a safe haven.” Check out the trailer below.
