Coming off blowing up the internet from their time presenting at this year’s Oscars, Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh have been set to star in We Live In Time, Deadline has reported. The StudioCanal film is set to have John Crowley (Brooklyn) direct and Nick Payne (Wanderlust) write the script.
The plot for the Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield film, We Live In Time, is kept under wraps. The tone is described as a “funny, deeply moving, and immersive love story.” Depending on when the deal is sealed, production will begin later this year.

The actors have not worked together before, but they did unite to present the screenplay awards at this year’s Oscars. Their chemistry lit social media on fire from fans of both A-listers. During the ceremony, the Amazing Spider-Man actor became quite the meme after a grin in response to a joke made by Jimmy Kimmel. The Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay went to Women Talking, which was written by Sarah Polley. Meanwhile, the award for Best Original Screenplay went to Everything Everywhere All at Once, which was written by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert.
Upon going in for negotiations for We Live In Time, Andrew Garfield is coming off his hit Emmy-nominated limited series Under the Banner of Heaven. He is also known for The Amazing Spider-Man movies, Spider-Man: No Way Home, The Social Network, Tick, Tick… BOOM!, and Hacksaw Ridge. He was nominated for an Oscar in the last two films. He will star as Richard Branson in the limited series Hot Air.
Florence Pugh is adding We Live In Time to her filmography as she has recently become a major star in Hollywood. She was nominated for an Oscar for her supporting role in Little Women. Other notable roles for her are Don’t Worry Darling, The Wonder, Midsommar, Black Widow, and Hawkeye. Upcoming roles for her include Oppenheimer, Dune: Part 2, and Thunderbolts.
