Whitney Lynn is back with another public sermon, and this time, Chipotle is the target. The Florida evangelist who previously went viral after being removed from an Alaska Airlines flight for preaching to passengers has now taken issue with a Halloween commercial featuring a Ouija board. She calls Chipotle “evil,” and says everyone needs to repent.
In a video shared on Instagram by @whitneylynn1, Lynn films herself near a Chipotle location, apparently inside a shopping mall. She speaks directly to her phone camera as people go about their day around her.
“Chipotle is evil. They are summoning spirits on their commercials,” Lynn declares. “This is not a joke.”
She then explains her problem with the chain’s Halloween advertisement, which features a Ouija board. According to Lynn, the commercial promotes witchcraft, and she is not having it. The imagery is part of Chipotle’s ‘Summon the Spirits Tour,’ a Halloween campaign promoting the return of margaritas, with the word ‘spirits’ playing on both the supernatural theme and alcoholic drinks.
“It’s Halloween, and it’s a witch’s holiday,” she continues, before warning viewers that “Jesus Christ is coming” and urging them to repent.
Lynn then repeats that Chipotle is evil before launching into a series of emphatic cries of “Witchcraft!”
For Lynn, this is apparently more than just an advertisement she dislikes. In the caption accompanying her Instagram video, she announces that she is boycotting Chipotle, just as she claims to have boycotted Starbucks, Target, and Kohl’s.
She also calls on people to “take an easy stand for Christ” and argues that society is becoming desensitized to what she considers demonic imagery.
Internet Reacts to Florida Evangelist’s Chipotle Rant
Her latest sermon has now drawn attention on Reddit via r/PublicFreakout, where users had plenty to say about her decision to take on a burrito chain.
One commenter wrote, “Not this lady again. How does she get access to any privately owned business? I’ve now seen her acting crazy on an airplane and in a damn Chipotle. Get a new hobby, ma’am.” Another wrote, “I love that Chipotle is out her slaughtering pigs and cows like crazy and she’s like “JackOLanterns! Witches! Cilantro Lime Sauce!””
A third commenter said, “As someone who used to be into the occult I can confirm that you can’t commune with demons using a tortilla chip.”
Others brought politics into the discussion, with one asking, “Is this an audition to be some MAGA politician’s future ex wife?” And one user questioned the effort behind the video itself, “Did she seriously go all the way to the *expletive* mall to film this? Really hope she had other business.”
Of course, this isn’t Lynn’s first viral public appearance. In July, she was removed from an Alaska Airlines flight after preaching to passengers during a delay. The airline said the crew became increasingly concerned about her behavior and asked her to leave for safety reasons. Lynn, meanwhile, described the experience as “spiritual warfare.”
