Buying already full storage units has become a hobby for some brave souls. However, after what this Florida man found in one of the units he bought, he might want to be doing something else with his weekends. Luckily for the internet, this man was able to document the whole experience into a two-part TikTok. The video has recently blown up on the social media app, as the Florida native tells his story.
In the TikTok posted by Kyle Green (@FloridaSir), viewers can see the entire storage unit the Florida native had bought previously. However, in the camera shot are also two suspicious-looking coolers. The man had no knowledge of what was in the unit at the time of its purchase. Typically, buyers will get a quick peek of the unit with the door open, but that is it. However, that is the risk that many take while buying these old units.
Florida Man Finds Disgusting Items In A Storage Unit
The Florida man would quickly shift gears, however. As Kyle moved in the direction of the coolers, he explained that he was scared to open them completely. A fly can be seen crawling along the outside of the first cooler, as well. Finally, Kyle would swing open the item’s door. Inside were a lot of bugs as well as mold. However, a black trash bag sat inside the cooler with a horrific stench.
The scene then flips as viewers are inside the man’s car as he is calling the police. The video cuts again to a law enforcement officer showing up at the scene. The officer and the Florida native introduce themselves as they walk back to the storage unit. The police officer puts on some gloves and then dives right into the coolers. Although there was one setback, and that would be the smell. The officer immediately comments on the stench in disgust. “The cop was even scared to open it,” one user commented on the video.
After a few moments of build-up, the officer finally starts to poke around inside the trash bag of the first cooler. However, despite the smell and the feeling of tension, the officer claims the bag is just filled with spoiled meat. While that is most likely the case, many online are not buying it. It would appear that those in the TikTok’s comment section believe in a deeper conspiracy. “Get a second opinion on this,” wrote one skeptical user.
While it is unclear if the Florida man did, in fact, get a second opinion, it was most likely just normal meat that the previous owners put inside a cooler, which is confirmed in the second TikTok video (we’ve included it above). While that isn’t necessarily the smartest of ideas, crazier things have happened. As for Kyle Green, surely that is a smell he’d like to forget as soon as possible.
