There are a lot of really terrible things happening on the internet every day. It seems that everywhere you look, there’s a kidnapping going on or some other terrible thing that involves others to be in distress. However, wherever there is darkness, there surely will be light. One Florida man showed the internet that there is definitely joy in the little things, and his wife made sure to record his special moment. Fortunately, everyone on the internet agreed that the moment was indeed worth filming.
The above video shows a man who has just finished baking his flan and has to complete the final step: flipping it. For those unaware, making flan is more of an art than a simple recipe. Everything needs to be mixed and baked to perfection so that the top is a perfect brown and the syrup is spread evenly. It’s very clear that the man realizes just how much is at stake as he seems so incredibly excited. In fact, his entire family is around him, watching, and taking in the moment with him.
While smiling at the camera, the man quickly flips the pan with the flan inside and proceeds to tap on the very top. Doing this releases the flan from the pan, which is arguably the most important part of the entire process. When he lifts the pan, a perfect flan is revealed. The internet was just as excited as the man, with one person replying with, “This is what positive masculinity looks like.”
Personally, I think the world needs a lot more content like this. There’s something to be said about filming such a joyous moment, surrounded by family, and still receiving the same amount of likes as every viral video. We are definitely at a point in time where something as simple as this goes a lot further than ever before.
