It’s no secret that OnlyFans is a fast-track ticket to becoming a millionaire or even a billionaire. At least that was the case for 20-year-old Sophie Rain of Miami, Florida. Rain began her adulthood as a struggling waitress in Tampa, but quickly found fame and fortune as a member of the Bop House and eventually, an OnlyFans model. Now, Sophie Rain earns more than $82 million per year, and she plans to donate a portion of her OnlyFans income to a charity that supports impoverished families in the US.
Rain has announced this OnlyFans charity event on her official X/Twitter account as a celebration for her birthday. Rain’s birthday is on September 22, and according to her, any OnlyFans income she receives on September 30 will supposedly be donated to Feeding America, which is a US hunger-relief NPO (non-profit organization).
“Hi friends! It is my birthday in a week, and this year, I want to do something very special for you. I want to donate 24 hours of my income on the last day of September to a charity. So any money spent on that day will be donated, so make sure you subscribe before September 30.
The charity I’m donating to is called Feeding America. They provide meals to millions of families using food banks and pantries across the country. Every dollar spent helps put food on the table for someone in need… Let’s help change America by doing this!” says Sophie Rain
Rain has since put up a rather hip and modern slogan for her campaign, calling it “goon for good”. In the not-so-distant past, Sophie Rain has claimed that she makes at least $43 million per year, with more recent claims ballooning up the earnings to $82 million in just 18 months. A quick math suggests that Rain, on average, made more than $150,000 per day based on her recent claim. Rain also casually donated $1 million to Mr. Beast’s recent charity, which was probably just pocket change to her by now.
It’s also worth noting that Rain was also somewhat impoverished as a child and lived on food stamps growing up, while also being raised in a Christian household. This upbringing might have influenced her “Goon for Good” charity campaign, as Rain claims her Christian values haven’t been compromised.
People online have praised Rain, but are in disbelief
Feeding poor people is doing God’s work for many, and Rain has naturally earned plenty of praise and goodwill along her way, especially from the struggling US population. Some, however, were pointing out just how unbelievable the situation was, either because an OnlyFans model is earning more money than an NBA player or because money raised from this kind of industry is the one helping the general population.
“Imagine gooning for a whole family, wild,” imagines one Facebook user
“And some people still put a bad name on us 0F girls 🙄” replies one X user
“Not all heros wear capes”
Of course, some people were cynical about Rain’s cause, one of them even questioning her motivations and asking Rain to “Stop using Charity donations as a cover-up” for something. Ultimately, “Goon for Good” was something that many of Sophie’s fans or viewers couldn’t get over, as many considered it a ridiculous method for something as noble as feeding the poor.
“I got no business here but ‘let’s goon for good’ is top 5 craziest things I’ve read”
“Ill take the check in the mail.. 👌🙏 thank you for supporting my family 😂 these grocery prices are insane. M”
