This Florida native actually fought on the side of the law this time around. Ricky Pyne took part in a small police chase as a suspect had escaped outside of South Seminole Hospital. Ricky allegedly played a massive role in detaining the escaped criminal. Police may not have gotten the escapee back into custody without Pyne’s help.

The source also confirms that reports from police state that Ricky Pyne helped restrain Pedro Rivera. Pedro had escaped custody during a transport operation. Rvera had been arrested earlier during a big prostitution sting. However, he would become combative as Pedro attempted to bite and fight off officers. Eventually, he would slip out of his cuffs, and luckily, Ricky was there. Thanks to the comments from Fox’s YouTube video, it seemed many users think that Pyne was in the “Right place at the right time.“
Florida Native Ricky Pyne Takes Down an Escaped Criminal To Save Police
The situation escalated quickly as Pedro allegedly assaulted officers and grabbed a taser that he would attempt to use on an officer. This was before Ricky could intervene. The injuries of the officers attacked by Pedro Rivera have not been disclosed to the public, as well as how Pedro was able to escape at all. There are a lot of unanswered questions. However, it is important to celebrate the actions of a brave Florida citizen and one heck of a poker player.
This situation can be traced back to the initial arrest of Pedro Rivera, way before Ricky Pyne sprung into action. Pedro was arrested in a sting operation involving Florida’s Seminole County Police Department. Rivera was very uncooperative with deputies, leading to many of the officers being assaulted by Rivera. Pedro was then tasered multiple times and was taken to the hospital for treatment. He would then escape, and that is when Ricky was able to step up and take Pedro down to the ground.
Luckily for Ricky Pyne, he is clear on the legal front regarding his decision to do the right thing. Pyne saw his call to action and jumped in without hesitation. Out of the kindness of his heart, he chose to do what was right. Ricky is no longer just a professional poker player or father, he is somewhat of a hero.
