A woman in Florida filmed herself claiming that her fiancé “sees things” at night. These include, but are not limited to, seeing creatures, human hands coming out from behind doors, and a man standing at the foot of their bed. While some believe that his “sightings” are, indeed, paranormal, others theorize that the man may suffer from hallucinations.
Amy Areias shared her story on TikTok. With more than 61,000 followers, she usually shares storytelling content. Her paranormal-themed clip, however, was her most successful in months, going viral and garnering 1.3 million views, 116,800 likes, and 11,500 comments.
The Florida woman explained that her fiancé routinely wakes up in the middle of the night and spots strange figures or images. According to her, these include creatures like spiders or snakes, and even the occasional “man standing in the corner.”
After a trigger warning, she shared her fiancé’s latest disturbing sightings. First, she described how her fiancé woke up and found their bathroom door cracked one month ago. According to Amy, he suddenly noticed a “human-like hand” coming out from behind the door. She shut the door, and nothing happened until the morning she recorded her clip.
At around 1 a.m., she woke up to her fiancé freaking out, repeating, “Oh my god.” She then saw him standing right in front of the TV. Later in the day, he told her what had occurred.
“He saw a man standing at the foot of our bed,” she explained.
The man, the Florida woman explained, was tall, skinny, bald, and had glowing eyes. This strange figure was standing and smiling at Amy’s fiancé, looking straight into his eyes. As a result, the fiancé grabbed a pillow and threw it at the man. He didn’t move, but pointed at him instead.
Internet Discusses Paranormal Sightings
The video sparked multiple responses online. Some users fully embraced the idea that Amy’s husband was actually seeing things at night. One user suggested, “Read Psalms 91 out loud every night.” Another netizen wrote, “He has to say ‘I rebuke in the name of Jesus Christ.'”
Others, however, believed the Florida man’s episodes had a simple explanation. One viewer wrote, “This isn’t paranormal. These are hypnagogic hallucinations.” Another one added, “Neurologist, asap.”
With many viewers commenting how the video had a “bad energy,” given the paranormal topic at hand, it is no wonder that Amy’s clip was pushed so hard on TikTok. With thousands of comments, meaning high engagement, the clip is prone to continue garnering views for days to come.
Amy is currently considering “saging” her bedroom, adding that she believes holy water won’t cut it.
