A Florida woman was seemingly excited to check into her Airbnb for a relaxing stay. However, her plans may have changed after she checked into the quaint little house, only to find that it was hiding a secret. Despite photos of a cozy-looking home, the woman shared a video of herself heading outside onto the large deck. Everything seems normal until she pans up to reveal that the house is right next to a large cemetery with a creepy vibe.
In a viral TikTok video, the Florida resident reveals that the Airbnb listing left out “one minor detail,” specifically referencing the cemetery located next to the property. While a view of a graveyard may not scream relaxing vacation vibes, it does make for an interesting stay and story.
It seems that social media users couldn’t get enough of the video, which earned more than 8.3 million views and over 1,700 comments. To make the video even more entertaining, the woman opted to use the viral audio of the song What The Helly as the background for the clip.
Later, the TikTok user returned to the platform to poke fun at her situation. She danced on the deck in front of the cemetery, revealing that she plans to “party with the ghosts.”
The comments popped off on the videos, and people seemed to be conflicted about the situation. Some made jokes about the cemetery being next to the vacation rental.
“Ppl dying to get into this neighborhood,” one person wrote.
“Way too many people for me,” said another.
“The listing said quiet neighbors,” a third wrote.
Meanwhile, others were totally creeped out by it all.
“I would’ve left so fast,” another TikTok user confessed.
“Refund immediately,” agreed another.
Meanwhile, some thought that the woman was overreacting.
“Ain’t no way y’all are bothered by a graveyard?” stated one person in the comment section.
“Don’t be scared of the dead…be scared of the living. The dead ain’t never hurt nobody,” another agreed.
The Florida woman certainly isn’t the first person to find an interesting or spooky surprise at her Airbnb. There have been many documented incidents where people share what they’ve seen in their rental homes.
One person even detailed their experience with a “haunted Airbnb” on Reddit. The person admitted that they had a bad feeling as soon as they arrived at the home. However, things worsened after they learned that some disturbing incidents had occurred in the area.
Hopefully, the Florida woman didn’t let the cemetery get in the way of having fun on her vacation. However, it does serve as a lesson to do some research about your rental home if you’re sensitive to certain situations.
