As a kid, when you played in the sun, didn’t it always go better with some ice cream? About 99% of kids wouldn’t object to that, right? When one little girl showed up at an ice cream truck, chipper than sunshine, the Florida woman manning the stand went ahead and handed her a free ice cream. It only made the little girl probably the happiest kid on earth, but it’s the type of kindness that tugs at your heart strings and hope for something better.
While TikToker Zee was working at an ice cream truck parked by a playground, naturally kids will appear. What kid wouldn’t? But this kid couldn’t be any older than three or four. She was so bubbly and full of personality walking up to the stand. Zee surprised the little girl by asking her “You want that one?” when the little girl pointed to the flavors.
A second later, another kid appears, this one being older and the sister of the little girl. “You want something, baby?” asked Zee, as affectionate as a mother would. The older sister started to object, telling zee they “don’t have any money,” but Zee made it clear it didn’t matter. She even went the extra mile to have the little girls fetch their brother so he could have free ice cream, too. Now let that restore your humanity a bit.
The moment was clearly a lot to handle for Zee’s viewers. Numerous comments shared how emotional it made them feel, and how adorable and polite the kids were.
“Barefoot eating ice cream, peak childhood,” said one commenter. That’s all life should be about for kids, you know?
What was particularly awesome is how patient Zee was with the kids. She gave them plenty of time to choose what they wanted, especially the older sister (who never asked for ice cream to begin with). “Her being indecisive and you being patient,” praised one commenter. Sometimes it’s tough choosing something at a restaurant, so imagine what it’s like for a kid seeing a dozen flavors.
Others called Zee “queen” and wished her business well. “I hope yr business continues to flourish,” said one person, while another prayed her for her pockets to “never be empty.”
Many were especially proud of the little girl’s older sister, who kept a close eye on her little sister like a parent. One suggested it was “second nature to her,” and any older brother or sister can certainly agree. She paid no mind to the ice cream.
Zee might not know it, but she may very well have just created a core memory for those kids. They will remember this moment forever!
