Airbnb has quickly become one of the best ways to stay comfortably away from home. However, a recently viral TikTok has surfaced showcasing the horrors that can come with staying in an Airbnb. When this Florida woman found a hidden camera during her Moroccan vacation, things went from fun to scary very fast. The video was posted by Florida native, Pauline, as she was documenting her trip to Morocco. Since then, it has gained around 107K likes as social media continues to raise that number.
The Florida lady’s TikTok has multiple parts thanks to the many questions in the comment section of the first video. However, in the first clip, Pauline shares that she and a group of friends had taken a trip to Morocco. However, the video would quickly turn sinister as the group noticed that a picture frame had moved seemingly by itself. While inspecting the framed stock image of a dog, Pauline would discover a horrible truth.
Florida Woman Finds Hidden Camera in Airbnb While On Vacation
The group explains that this photo could not have been there beforehand. They also noticed that the image was facing directly towards the Airbnb’s shower. After checking out the back of the picture frame, the group would stumble upon a hidden camera inside the item. The TikTok cuts to Pauline holding the item as a flashlight shines on it. The on-screen text then reads, “y’all see that camera right?” The frame also has an on and off switch at the top. This seemingly seals the deal, as the item was a hidden camera aimed right at the house’s shower. Pauline’s caption perfectly sums up her situation, as she states, “This could happen to anyone.”
Although this is not the first unusual thing the group had noticed about where they were staying. In a story time video, Pauline claims that when they first got to the house, the owner was acting strangely. However, the group did not want to be rude, so they didn’t mention anything. She does confirm that law enforcement was called after finding the camera, though. The Airbnb host has been placed in custody as well. Although Pauline will not be able to share too much more information until after the court hearing.
This Florida woman’s TikTok has amassed over 10 million views, and it’s still climbing. Although Airbnb has a pretty strict rule against inside surveillance cameras, it seems these hosts just don’t care. It is extremely important to do as much research as possible before booking a trip like this. This can, in fact, happen to anyone, and it is always better to be safe rather than sorry.
