What a scary thought

Halloween is approaching fast, and the internet seems ready for the spookiest time of the year. However, this Florida woman is attempting to warn fans of the popular Spirit Halloween stores about an upcoming problem many of them could face. In a short and sweet TikTok video that has already picked up 115K views, the woman warns the social media app’s users about the potential dangers that await them inside those stores. Although whether or not they listen is up to them.

In the nine-second TikTok posted by the account, @Princess_Al3x, the Florida native, can be heard stating that lice and pink eye are two very common things. However, how does that correspond to Spirit Halloween stores? It’s a somewhat common practice for some to try on a lot of the scary or funny masks and hats. Although who knows how many people have already worn that exact same mask or hat before them? The video’s comment section seems to wholeheartedly agree with the woman as well. Those things are “disgusting,” wrote one regarding the masks. Finally, another stated that “This should be common knowledge.”

Florida Woman Calls Out Spirit Halloween Stores

In the video, viewers can see written text appear on the screen that reads “Not to be a buzz kill.” However, the TikTok’s caption states that the woman herself had allegedly gotten pink eye from a Spirit Halloween store at one point. So it would seem as though the TikToker is speaking from experience. As she warns the internet about all the gross things that can happen at these stores, it’s important to realize she is not trying to take away from the holiday fun at all. This is just a simple heads-up, and nothing more.

The Florida woman’s public service announcement also has a lot of merit to it. According to Healthline, the bacteria that cause pink eye can live on a fabric for around two days. However, they can survive on other surfaces for even longer. Pink eye is highly contagious and also doesn’t even need to be transmitted through direct contact. It would appear that these biological dangers may be more common than many realize.

However, with that being said, Halloween is still an incredibly fun holiday, and nothing should stop anyone from enjoying it to the fullest. Now, TikTok users can enjoy their spooky holiday in a safe way, thanks to this Florida woman. As for Spirit Halloween stores everywhere, business will most likely still be booming this year.
