Marvel fans will be interested in learning there is a new video game in development with a team of five former Blizzard employees. We don’t know much about the unnamed Marvel title as of yet, but the crew behind it has a bright background.

The five-man team making up the California based company, Second Dinner, is working on the new video game. They include Hamilton Chu, Ben Brode, Mike Schweitzer, Yong Woo, and Jomaro Kindred. All five of the members worked on one of Blizzard’s more popular titles, Hearthstone.

Second Dinner was formed eight months ago after Hearthstone game director Ben Brode and former Hearthstone Executive Producer Hamilton Chu left Blizzard to create the gaming studio. A press release posted to the company’s website says they originally started out of a garage.

“Second Dinner raised $30M from a minority investment by NetEase. ‘The Second Dinner team has a strong track record of delivering quality games. With the resources and creative freedom they now have, we look forward to what they will come up with next,’ said Ethan Wang, VP of NetEase Inc.”

Jay Ong, Head of Marvel Games and Marvel Entertainment said this about the crew of Second Dinner,

“I’ve worked with Hamilton and Ben for years and they are exactly who we want making Marvel games. They and the team they’ve assembled at Second Dinner have made some of the greatest games in history. And now, working with the Marvel Games team and playing in the Marvel Universe… It’s going to be Amazing! Or maybe Spectacular! Or Incredible! Or Mighty! Or quite possibly all of the above!”

Little is known about the game at this time. They posted a video showing a tour of their new office and showed off a well-made graph that may point to details of the game. The team said they’re excited about working with Marvel.

“We’re working on the prototype already and we think it might just be the most fun thing ever in the history of fun.”

Seeing as every member worked on Hearthstone, the game could be Marvel’s attempt at making their card game Legendary into a video game. Second Dinner promised more news is on the way but of course fans will have to wait to find out.
