Former Republican Georgia Congresswoman Blasts Trump Over War with Iran: ‘Conservatives Don’t Like Admitting They Were Wrong’

She had harsh words for Trump

Former Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene recently criticized U.S. President Donald Trump’s decisions regarding the war with Iran, saying he is “not the same man” as before. Greene is still part of the Republican Party, and the Georgia politician was previously an ardent Trump supporter, which made her remarks resonate online.

Joe Rogan interviewed Greene on InfoWars, and the clip soon went viral on social media. In the footage, Greene can be seen claiming that “the Republican Party needs to burn to the ground.” According to her, the party is “completely controlled” by Zionists and the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.

She also said that she fears nuclear weapons may be used against Iran and that she opposes the war. By the end of the interview, Greene claimed that “Trump is not the same man” he was 10 years ago when many Americans supported him.

This was not the first time that Greene disagreed with the President. Earlier this year, Greene announced her resignation from Congress due to increasing tensions with Trump. She was recently replaced by Republican Clay Fuller.

Internet Reacts to Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Criticism of the Republican Party

Marjorie Taylor Greene’s interview quickly went viral online, as viewers shared their opinions about her remarks. The most prevalent view was that Trump was “absolutely the same man, Marjorie. The difference is just that some were able to see where this road would lead from the outset, and some weren’t.”

Many were angered by what they saw as a lack of sincerity on Greene’s part. “Very few of these grifters admit they fell for Trump. It’s all a claim that he changed,” one user wrote. Another said that “They’re not more sane because they’re now at odds with Trump. Much like Trump’s lies and duplicity, his turning on his closest supporters was guaranteed from the outset.”

Others saw this interview as some kind of “tactic” to swing people away from supporting Trump: “Conservatives don’t like admitting they were wrong.”

Some Republican infighting is expected, as Trump’s alignment with Israel during the war with Iran has not won support from everyone in the party. However, it remains to be seen whether more voices among his allies will speak out against the current U.S. president.
