With Chapter three, Season Two concluding soon in Fortnite, you may be eager to complete more weekly, seasonal challenges. Whether it’s destroying structures or blocking hits with specific weapons, there is a wide variety of quests to finish. One of the tasks you will encounter in the Week 7 quest list is destroying turrets using Remote Explosives. This guide will teach you how to destroy a turret using Remote Explosives in Fortnite.
How to Destroy a Turret Using Remote Explosives in Fortnite
Before you can destroy a turret, you first need to find Remote Explosives. Remote Explosives are an epic rarity item that you can find around the map. While you can find and use more than one explosive to destroy turrets, you should only need one or two to finish the job. There are two main methods for obtaining Remote Explosives in Fortnite:
- Randomly spawns around the map as chest loot and floor items. Since it is an epic rarity item, it will appear with a purple, glowing outline. You’ll pick up a bundle of three explosives.
- Sold by Peely, the banana NPC, east of Coney Crossroads for 774 gold.

Once you have acquired your Remote Explosives, head to any major Point of Interest to find a turret. In particular, Tilted Towers and Command Caverns are two popular spots due to the increased turret spawn rate. However, you’re also likely to find other players in these areas due to their popularity. If you want to avoid these hotspots, areas such as Coney Crossroads also spawn turrets for you to destroy. You can also find airships with turrets attached to them.
After finding a turret to destroy, throw one of your Remote Explosives near it. If you want to play it safe, you can throw two or three onto it. Go a safe distance away to avoid taking damage from the explosive before detonating it. By doing this, you’ll successfully destroy the turret and complete the Week 7 seasonal quest.
Fortnite is available on PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Android, and iOS platforms.
