LEGO Fortnite is like virtual gaming and physical play merge, where players can experience Fortnite games through LEGO bricks. The game, set to launch on December 7, brings a LEGO-themed twist to Fortnite. The collaboration was first announced in April 2022, meaning it took around a year and a half to build the ultimate crossover. While details are so far thin on everything that’s on the way, here we’ll be exploring everything we noted from the trailer.

Free LEGO Skins

Updated on September 12, 2024: Updated links and clarified information.

Free Fortnite LEGO Skins

Epic Games confirms we’ll be getting free LEGO-style outfits for most of the skins we already own. The fun fact is that we can also play any owned emote with the LEGO skins. It will be interesting to see our favorite characters in the world of bricks.

New Buildings

Fortnite‘s general gameplay mechanics only have the basic structural building mechanic. For the LEGO Fortnite crossover, however, we’ll soon have more creative building mechanics to experiment with. The trailer showcases the building of a house, but it’s likely there’ll be much more to come.

Tree Chopping

As you’ll no doubt be aware, when we use our Pickaxe to gather wood in the main game, trees disappear once we take the maximum from them. But in LEGO Fortnite, it seems well be able to chop down trees, and it shows trees falling to the ground.

New Creatures

We see a bunch of yellow crab-like creatures, which players appear to be fighting in open areas. Hopefully, they are some friendly ones too!

LEGO Villages, Castles and Towns

The trailer reveals players can build LEGO villages, towns, and castles. This should add a new level of creativity and gameplay to Fortnite, allowing players to customize their structures.

So, if you ever wanted a survival-crafting experience in one of the most legendary battle royales in the market, now’s the chance. So, save the day because Fortnite is taking it to a new setting, brick by brick.

LEGO Fortnite will launch on December 7, 2023.
