Undoubtedly, one of my favorite times of every month is whenever a new Fortnite Season launches. The team behind Fortnite recently shared a teaser for its Chapter 5, Season 2, and as the Greek mythology fan I am, I couldn’t be more excited. Now, all of this is speculation because the actual release is a few days away from arriving, but so far, it’s looking great. Many gamers, myself included, believe the next chapter will feature Greek Gods such as Aphrodite and Hades, and some leaks back those tinfoil hat theories up.ย

Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 2 Could Have New Features From Ancient Greek

The most recent teaser of the game bears the legend “Don’t fly too close to the sun… ” referring to the myth of Icarus. This continues the clues Fortnite has shared about the possible Greek theme for Chapter 5, Season 2. Beyond that, several leaks have pointed at new Greek-themed abilities, weapons, and skins. Remember to take this with a grain of salt, but if they turn out true, we’ll be able to fling lightning just like Zeus and eat golden apples to get buffs. Furthermore, the leaks mention we might get everyone’s favorite god-killer, Kratos, back in a new collaboration, which would be fitting due to the season’s theme.

I know some people might think many players might be high on hopium, but take a look at the evidence. Pandora’s Box was opened a few days ago, and if that doesn’t spell Greek, I don’t know what does. Still, what makes this season great for me is the refreshing style compared to previous seasons. I’m not saying they were bad, but I’m glad we’re going back to something mythological for once and leaving Transformers in the jungle way behind.

Ultimately, we’ll have to wait for the official reveal of Fortnite‘s Chapter 5, Season 2, but as far as clues go, there are many reasons to be excited. So save your V-bucks, call your friends, and prepare for the imminent release of a season with godly proportions. I know I’ll be the first one there having a nerdgasm after seeing the rumored skins from the Greek pantheon.
