Dan Harmon’s delayed animated show Krapopolis has now received a release date from Fox. Now, the show is set to air on Sunday, September 24th. It will launch with a two-episode preview after NFL’s doubleheader. The show will be a part of the network’s Animation Domination block, which will come on at 8:30 p.m. Harmon serves as the creator and executive producer of the show. Bento Box Entertainment is credited as the current producer. At the time, Krapopolis is said to continue to air weekly on Sundays starting October 1st.
Krapopolis is a series set in mythical Greece. It tells the story of a dysfunctional family of humans, gods, and monsters as they try to run cities and navigate society. At the same time, human king Tyrannis (played by Richard Ayoade) will encounter different figures from Greek Mythology. This will lead to its own share of odd situations and shenanigans.
Dan Harmon and Krapopolis: A Rough Start
Krapopolis had a rough production in its first months. Harmon first designed a direct deal with Fox in July 2020 with a commitment to the series. The show received a full series order in February, but its original due date of October 2022 was delayed. The series was then planned to premier in May, but that also did not happen. It was renewed for a second season in October 2022 and a third in March 2023.
At the same time as this release, Fox has also planned three other season premieres around the showing of Krapopolis. The Simpsons season 35, before the premiere of Krapopolis. After the new show, it will be followed by Bob’s Burgers season 14 and Family Guy season 22. All of these shows, like Dan Harmon’s series, have also gained double renewals in the upcoming years. No release date is posted for the previously stated shows.
