From Software, the developers behind the ultra-difficult Dark Souls series and Bloodborne, apparently have a lot more to come in the near future. According to Hidetaka Miyazaki, the president of From Software, the studio is working on two unannounced titles. Miyazaki went on record with Gematsu saying that they are not ready to talk about the two games, but they will be similar to what fans have come to expect from From Software titles.
Miyazaki had this to say about the new projects:
While it isn’t the time to discuss details, they’re both From Software-esque games. We’ll need a little more time, but we’ll be able to tell everyone more about them once they take shape.
This tease has led to a lot of speculation as to what the titles may be. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is From Software’s next big game, releasing in February 2019. Sekiro seems to be a bit quicker in gameplay style than even Bloodborne while still maintaining the brutality of both Dark Souls and Bloodborne. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is not included in their two projects that are on the horizon so what could they be?
What the fans truly want is a followup to the stellar From Software PS4 exclusive, Bloodborne. It’s rather shocking that it has not come to fruition yet as it is still hailed as one of the PlayStation 4’s best games to this day. A Dark Souls sequel is likely off the table as the story was said to be wrapped with its third iteration, but Miyazaki has been known to pull a fast one so it can’t be ruled out entirely.
With Sekiro: Shadow’s Die Twice right around the corner, it shouldn’t be too long of a wait to see what From Software and Miyazaki have up their sleeves next. For the time being, leave a comment below and tell us what you think the unannounced titles may be!
