The Nerd Stash LOVES Funko products! Who doesn’t?!? They have such a wide variety of everything FUN and they share some of these really cool products with us.
- It’s 1976, a young Robert Deniro plays Travis Bickle, a mentally unstable Vietnam War veteran who is a taxi drive at night. IGN lists this movie scene from Taxi Driver as #4 on their list of Top Movie Moments, Famous line: “You talkin to me?” Funko sent us a small action figure representing Travis Bickle – he’s even posable!
- Who remembers the movie, Gremlins? Which Gremlin was your favorite? How about Stripe? Remember infamous bar scene where the character played by Phoebe Cates is serving the gremlins? Did you ever wonder why she was serving them? Me too! She finally figured out they hated light and flashed her way all the way to the door with a polaroid camera…then at the last minute before she got to the door she encounters Bandit the Gangsta gremlin..Funko sent us a small action figure of both, Stripe (the mogwai) and Bandit. They also threw in an action figure of Billy, the main character.
- Shaun of the Dead fans will love the items Funko sent us from the movie! We received two really nice, sturdy Vinyl Idolz figures of Shaun and Ed (the zombie). These figures are made of nice quality and would be a great collector item for those fans out there who loved the movie. I personally have not seen the movie, but in researching it, I think it’s something I plan to do. It looks very entertaining (if you’re in to the whole zombie thing with some satirical comedy on top).
- Now, to one of the items Funko sent that my kids got so excited about, the Disney Heroes vs. Villains Mystery Mini Vinyl figures. Or, as my 6 year old would call it, a blind box. We received two of these figures and the really cool and exciting part (for some) is the fact you don’t know what you’re getting until you open it. Not only did they send us two of the Disney boxes, they also sent us two from the Supernatural: Join The Hunt series.
- Another the kid’s favorites was the Iron Man Mopeez plush toys that were in the package. They sent two! I’m now trying to convince the kids they weren’t sent for them!
