Furious Illinois Mom Screams at ‘Miserable’ Neighbor With Child in Tow: ‘He Thinks We Were Watching Him’

It’s not that serious

While it may be true that humans are social creatures, that doesn’t mean a disagreement isn’t bound to happen from time to time. However, for this Illinois mother, this little spat with her next-door neighbor got a little out of hand. A TikTok video that was recently posted by the account @zoecorbin shows the altercation, as social media can’t get enough of this protective mother. The clip has over 170K likes as well as 1.8 million views and is officially viral.

The video begins with a woman holding her toddler in one arm while standing in her driveway. However, the woman in the TikTok is already engaged in a screaming match with her neighbor. The text on the screen also reads, “POV: you try coming at my golden retriever husband, but unfortunately for you, I’m a black cat wife.”  She then ends her argument with her neighbor by telling him he is an “Old, Lonely, and Miserable.” She can then be seen storming back into her home, with the child in tow. Luckily, this altercation was caught on the Illinois family’s home surveillance system.

Can’t believe that this morning I said we should call for a wellness check on our neighbor because he hasn’t been out in a while and then this is what we come home to. Unfortunately this is all my doorbell caught, but good lord did this man back down when I came around the corner. Whewwww, I’m blown away. Luckily our neighbors on the other side match our neighborly energy 😂

Illinois Mother Flames Neighbor as TikTok Takes Her Side

The TikTok’s comment section was also just as upset as the woman in the video. Many would flock to the mother’s side as they let their feelings be known. “As you should, queen,” wrote one. “Love to hear it,” said another. “Go off, sis,” encouraged one more. Finally, one asked, “Why was he staring into your windows?” The woman then clears this up a little by commenting, “He thinks we were watching him.”

While this could have been the end of the whole ordeal, the Illinois woman would post a Story Time TikTok, just for a little more context. The woman would then explain that she works from home, as well as being the primary “Homemaker” in her household. Therefore, she is “In the kitchen a lot.” Yet, when it was time to take her kitchen window’s curtains down to clean, things would go downhill fast. She then states that they were looking at their neighbor shoveling his driveway due to the snow. However, the man would find this very offensive and ask this woman’s husband if he “Had a problem.”

This is what allegedly caused the original issue as seen in the first TikTok video. While it is important to mind your own business, this Illinois couple was doing nothing wrong. As for their neighbor, though, maybe it’s time to take a step back and evaluate why he got so angry. This kind of hostility, especially around the holiday season, is just unnecessary.
