As she received applause from the crowd, chants could be heard nearby from both Pro-Palestine and pro-Israel protestors gathered in front of El Capitan Theater. It seems they were inspired to make an appearance at the event due to Gadot’s political views.
Over the past two years, the actress has been outspoken about her support toward Israel amid the war in Gaza. Her comments have sparked backlash online. Rumor has it they even caused drama between her and Zegler, a vocal supporter of Palestine.
According to People, the pair had “tension” while filming Disney’s Snow White together. A source blames their lack of chemistry due to Zegler having “nothing in common with Gal Gadot, a mom of four kids.” Apart from their nearly 20-year age gap, the insider claims the actress’ opposing politics prevented them from forming a connection on set.
