Since there are rumors her political views also caused a rift between her and her Disney’s Snow White co-star Rachel Zegler, some people can’t help but think the ceremony is meant to distract from the bed press surrounding the film.

Gal Gadot accepted the honor on Tuesday alongside her husband, Jaron Varsano, and their four daughters. The achievement makes Gadot the first Israeli actress to have been inducted in the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Wonder Woman star paid tribute to her Israeli roots in an emotional speech. As she received applause from the crowd, chants could be heard nearby from both Pro-Palestine and pro-Israel protestors gathered in front of El Capitan Theater. It seems they were inspired to make an appearance at the event due to Gadot’s political views.
Over the past two years, the actress has been outspoken about her support toward Israel amid the war in Gaza. Her comments have sparked backlash online. Rumor has it they even caused drama between her and Zegler, a vocal supporter of Palestine.
According to People, the pair had “tension” while filming Disney’s Snow White together. A source blames their lack of chemistry due to Zegler having “nothing in common with Gal Gadot, a mom of four kids.” Apart from their nearly 20-year age gap, the insider claims the actress’ opposing politics prevented them from forming a connection on set.

The report seems to confirm fans’ suspicions about the Snow White co-stars not getting along. They first felt something was off between Gal Gadot and Rachel Zegler when they appeared to have an awkward interaction at the 2025 Oscars on March 2. While presenting an award together, viewers noticed the pair barely made any eye contact. The exchange sparked theories they weren’t friends or even liked each other.
To make matters worse, news came out on March 11 that Snow White would have a scaled-back premiere. The move meant the Disney film would not have a huge red carpet event with various media outlets on site. The reason for the decision was not revealed. However, fans suspected it was due to Gal Gadot and Rachel Zegler’s alleged tension and the film’s number of other controversies. That includes Zegler speaking negatively of the original Snow White film. On top of that, the live-action adaptation has been criticized for its use of CGI-animated dwarfs instead of little people.
Due to all of the negative press surrounding the film, fans are questioning the timing of Gal Gadot’s star. “This is just a publicity stunt,” one person claimed. Another fan agreed, saying the actress was “promoting” the achievement in an attempt to get some “good press” ahead of the Snow White premiere.
The Disney film will officially hit theaters on Friday, March 21.
