Get a little wildfire in your belly. Scotch Whisky giant Johnnie Walker is bringing several newย Game of Thrones inspired Scotches to a liquor store near you.ย USA Today first broke the news about this limited edition line of Scotches, the first of which should already be available in select stores.

Available now is a Scotch blend called “White Walker,” named afterย Game of Thrones’ iconic, north-of-the-wall monster. It is designed to be chilled and enjoyed ice cold, and special thermal paint on the bottle will grow bright blue when it has reached the correct temperature. An especially nice touch is the glowing blue eyes of the iconic Johnnie Walker logo.
In addition to the White Walker blend, a series of especially limited edition Scotch blends will be headed to stores later in the fall. Eight different distilleries have each given a go at a special blend based on seven of the houses of Westeros, with the eighth being based on the Night’s Watch, Game of Thrones‘ northern protectors. The prices for these blends will vary, ranging from $29.99 to $64.99.
Each of the different blends will attempt to bring aspects of their inspirational house into the flavor profile. For example, House Targaryen’s whisky will feature apples, cloves, and other strong spices, to emulate the dragon fire often associated with the house. It was created by two women (a rarity in a very male-dominated industry), to further tie itself to the house’s powerful matriarch, Daenerys Targaryen.
The Scotch inspired by House Lannister will be the most expensive blend – fitting, as the Lannisters have long pitched sold themselves as the richest family in the world ofย Game of Thrones. Otherย Game of Thrones houses, such as the Starks and the Baratheons, will also be represented in this collaboration.
These blends will be extremely limited, so contact your favorite store to see if and when they will be receiving them. They will be an excellent way to enjoy the final, truncated season ofย Game of Thrones when it comes back to HBO in 2019. You may want to squirrel a few away for when the prequel series launches as well.
