Fontaine was one of the biggest highlights of Genshin Impact back when it was released in August 2023. While we already knew it was coming, we had no idea about the scope of the new map, and now that’s out, we’re not disappointed. While many still enjoy everything that came with version 4.0, leaks haven’t stopped. Recent ones point to Madame Ping, Cloud Retainer, and even Arlecchino becoming playable characters. However, other leaks show which characters might be coming to Genshin Impact´s banners during phase 1 in version 4.2.

As usual, every new nation brings a new archon, and all of them have been playable until now; Furina won’t be an exception, according to recent information. Recent leaks show that Focalors can control water in exchange for draining a certain amount of life from your entire party. This means she’ll make a great team with Baizhu if her kit is to be believed. However, the leaks of the upcoming Phase 1 banners for version 4.2 of Genshin Impact might make choosing a character harder.

As mentioned, Furina, Baizhu, and Charlotte might be the featured characters of Genshin Impact 4.2 Phase 1. If that’s the case. it would be something different if the game released these characters in this order. HoYoverse usually places the new 4-star character in phase 2 with the re-runs. This usually lets players pull for a 4-star character without many risks. On the other hand, this can be a new tactic to get players to pull for new Fontaine characters, which we recommend as Archons as some of the most powerful party members in the game. Yet, this is all speculation, and we’ll have to wait for official confirmation by the developers.
