More and more leaks are coming in about the following versions of Fontaine. Already leaked an expansion to a part of the map, the next weekly boss of the 4.2 patch, and the possible characters until the 4.3 update of Genshin Impact. But HoYoverse still seems to have more surprises for its players for a long time. Genshin Impact‘s new leaks of version 4.4 mention the arrival of another area of the map, although this may be outside the nation of Fontaine.
Genshin Impact 4.4 New Area Could be in Liyue
Although the 4.x versions are focused on Fontaine’s story and exploration, according to leaks, Genshin Impact 4.4 could add a new area for Liyue. It could be Chenyu Vale, an area known only from information excerpts in the Echoes of an Offering artifacts. This set describes specific tea trees that only grow in Chenyu Vale, the same trees where Changsheng lived until she made her first contract. The lore tells this valley was the dominion of an Adeptus known as the “Herblord”. An excerpt includes Herblord’s desire to invite Cloud Retainer and Mountain Shaper to see the tea trees.
Yelan is also a character that could be related to this Genshin Impact 4.4 new area. Yelan’s special dish, Dew-Dipped Shrimp, is a specialty of Qiaoying Village, northwest of Liyue and Fontaine. The Dew-Dipped Shrimp recipe also specifies that it is brimming with tea from distant lands, referencing the unique tea trees.

Leaks include that there may be a special offering mechanism for the 4.4 version of Genshin Impact. So fans speculate it could be one of these tea trees and function like the Sacred Sakura tree. But, as always, do not take this information as accurate. It is still unconfirmed, and HoYoverse is yet to reveal more.
