Genshin Impact’s version 4.2 Special Program was already scheduled for October 27, but the organizers postponed this event. Due to the Chinese politician Li Keqiang’s demise, and as an act of respect, the company rescheduled a new date for their livestream. HoYoverse has already announced a new date for the Genshin Impact 4.2 Special Program. But it will be precisely the same day as the Honkai: Star Rail 1.5 Special Program, who had announced that their 1.4 update will be the shortest one yet.
Genshin Impact Announces 4.2 Special Program New Date Will Be the First Week of November
After a short delay for Special Program 4.2, Genshin Impact decided to hold its event on November 3, 2023. But on the same day, the developers of Honkai: Star Rail will also present their own Special program of version 1.5. This time, both presentations will be back-to-back on the same day. Usually, the shows are in different weeks to have their own spotlight or not to overwhelm the players. Also, these live streams will be held early in the morning in Eastern Time due to the different time zones. Honkai: Star Rail will start at 7:30 am (UTC-4) and give a space of only half an hour, although a Special Program lasts up to 2 hours. In contrast, Genshin Impact will start at 8:00 am (UTC-4).
Leaks show that Genshin Impact Special program 4.2 will bring many more new features than previous updates. Fans expect the announcement of Furina’s banner, Charlotte, and a new area. Also, the Archon quest might follow the story of Childe’s disappearance and the possible appearance of the new weekly boss. Players may discover the narwhal, which inspired the Fatui to create his Elemental Burst when he was trapped in the Abyss as a child.
