Many players were excited about the arrival of Version 4.4, especially because it included the Lantern Rite, Chenyu Vale, and playable Cloud Retainer in her human form, which took years to arrive. But what neither the leaks of Genshin Impact could foresee is that Chenyu Vale would bring the huge surprise of including Fujin, this adeptic Liyue’s waifu. As in other occasions, when the devs added an area to the map, they usually took a mission to guide the players or just had to walk to a new zone. But this time, it wasn’t like that.
Just by arriving at Chenyu Vale, you activate a cinematic with a mysterious person, Fujin, who instantly asks us to save the whole area. Like the Traveler, I initially felt irritated because someone interrupted my journey, but when I looked at her, I wanted to save all of Liyue, again, just for this Genshin Impact waifu. She is precisely Fujin, an Adepti of Chenyu Vale in charge of the waters… yes, a new Adepti that we never heard about. But considering that Morax had to make a whole army during the cataclysm, we will surely get to know more of them.

So far, the story is similar to Guizhong’s mission and The Withering areas in Sumeru. However, it is exciting to see such traditional Chinese concepts reflected in Genshin Impact, like the importance of tea or different clothing styles. But the truth is that many players would not mind helping a lady in trouble like Fujin.
