The release of Update 4.8 propelled us into a new Genshin Impact event. So, it’s time to take a break from your adventuring, quests, and cooking. Summertide Scales and Tales offers a limited-time-only region known as Simulanka. We can also score numerous rewards and skins, but everything must be done by the time the event’s over. The best way to collect these rewards in the Genshin Impact Summertide Scales and Tales event is by earning Starsail Coins. And there’s only one way to do it.
Summertide Scales and Tales Requirements
Before you enjoy all the festivities, you need to be eligible to participate. The Genshin Impact Summertide Scales and Tales Event is only available if you meet the following:
- Minimum Adventure Rank of 18
- Complete Archon Quests:
- Interlude Chapter: Act III (Inversion of Genesis)
- Chapter IV: Act V (Masquerade of the Guilty)
How To Earn Starsail Coins
Starsail Coins are your currency during the Genshin Impact Summertide Scales and Tales Event, and you can only get and use them while the event is live. The only way to get them is to participate in the event mini-games:
- Boreal Flurry
- Flying Hatter’s Trick
- Metropole Trials
These tasks all have the same thresholds you must meet to receive any reward. Thankfully, they all include Starsail Coins for you to use during the Genshin Impact event:
- Complete the challenge/activity: x30 Primogens | x25 Starsail Coins | x20k Mora | Character Talent upgrade materials
- Finish first point threshold: x15 Starsail Coins | x20k Mora | x3 Hero’s Wit XP items
- Finish second point threshold: x5 Starsail Coins | x20k Mora | x3 Sanctifying Unction Artifact XP items
Passing all the checks in all three challenges should score you enough Starsail Coins in Genshin Impact to reap all the rewards. Remember that they’re just about useless when the event concludes, so earn and use them fast.
How To Use Your Starsail Coins
Once you’ve gathered your Starsail Coins, head to a Fantastical Fabricator. It’s like a gachapon machine, and when you pull it, you’ll fabricate these charming little origami-shaped figurines. 5 Starisail Coins are needed for 1 figurine, while 25 will net you 5 fabricated figurines.
You can get more than 300 Starsail Coins during the Genshin Impact event, which should help you make all the figurines you need. Not only are these figurines simply adorable to put on display, but they’re used for additional rewards during the event.
Fabricating a certain amount of figurines in each of the three regions in Simulanka will earn you a series of different prizes. The tasks are only once per region.
But the best thing about using Starsail Coins to fabricate figurines is found within the Summer Gifts Invite Character menu. Completing the tasks here will earn you Primogen, Mora, and more. Most importantly, you can work toward a free Kirara and new skin for her. To get her, you’ll need 60 fabrications.
The Summertide Scales and Tales Event is live until August 28, 2024. You have plenty of time to jump in Genshin Impact and earn your Starsail Coins so you can enjoy these incredible rewards and get Kirara.
